About Me

Peter Kronberger

Austrian ultra-endurance cyclist
Based in Stavanger, Norway

I am an Austrian ultra-endurance cyclist specialising in self-supported racing. Since 2023 I have been focusing on longer ultra-endurance events — riding solo, unsupported and self-navigated across varied terrain. I put a lot of work into preparation: tracking power, heart rate and training load carefully, arriving at each start line with a clear race plan.

Off the bike I document my racing and training on Instagram and Strava, and have built up a following that tunes in during races and throughout the season. I also work as a Senior Reservoir Engineer — the same drive for precision and marginal gains that fuels my cycling applies directly to leading digitalization projects in the subsurface domain.

Feel free to connect — whether you want to talk race strategy, reservoir modelling, or just share a mutual love for suffering on bikes.

Cycling Life

What drives me beyond the finish line — the races, the training, the obsession with marginal gains.

Race Across East Germany
1st overall 2026. 1,169 km completely self-supported. A strong winter of training came together perfectly on race day.
Transcontinental Race No.12
14th overall 2026. 4,818 km from Trondheim, Norway to Kalamata, Greece — 13 countries and 39,302 m of climbing across the Nordics, Central Europe and the Balkans, entirely alone and self-navigated.
Transcontinental Race No.11
17th overall 2025. 4,595 km from Santiago de Compostela to the Black Sea — through Pyrenees, Alps, Balkans and Carpathians, entirely alone and self-navigated.
Race Around Austria
3rd unsupported 2023. 560 km around Austria, self-supported, self-navigated, no crew. A result that gave real confidence going into bigger races.
Seven Serpents: Quick Bite
11th overall 2023. 545 km through Slovenia, Croatia and Italy — gravel tracks, forest roads and 10,000 m of climbing. First proper gravel ultra.
Data-Driven Training
Applying the same analytical rigour from reservoir engineering to cycling — FIT file analysis, power data, aerobic decoupling, and segment breakdowns.
Cycling Videography
Documenting the journeys through visual storytelling on YouTube and Instagram — capturing the raw emotion of endurance sport from inside the race.

Professional Life

Beyond the bike, I am a Senior Reservoir Engineer with 10+ years of experience advancing digital solutions in the subsurface domain. The same drive for precision and marginal gains that fuels my cycling applies to uncertainty-centric reservoir modelling and digitalization projects.

My work spans ensemble-based reservoir modelling, digitalization project leadership, mentoring, and SPE publications. Everything is laid out below.
